isn't it incredible how quickly our lives can change?!
I often stop and think how grateful I am for the way my life has played out. Although there have been ups and downs, I feel extraordinarily blessed...no, that's not quite the right word..fortunate! I feel extraordinarily fortunate to be where I am today. Just this morning I went out to school to discuss my plans to study abroad. Right now, I have a few different options. How novel! I have to DECIDE where in Europe I want to study and for how long. What a decision to make. Although, I feel like either will be a phenomenal experience I am still struggling to make a plan set in stone. Let me put things into perspective... Lille, France and Stockholm, Sweden are my two options. Now, I can go to either one in January of this year and study for one semester. And there in lies my first dilemma, Lille or Stockholm? BUT, things get more confusing when I throw in something a little crazy here. You might want to sit down for this on. I could wait till my third year and leave in September to spend semester #1 in Stockholm and semester #2 in Lille.
I know! I know! They both seem great, right?! I mean, I am so anxious to go right away so, January is really tempting and there is no better time than the present. At the same time though, one whole school year to study abroad and in TWO different countries. It might be worth the wait. For now, I'm going to research both cities and universities as much as I can and try to make my own plan. Monday I met with the head of my department to get her ideas and see what plan she would be ideal for me. Hopefully by next week I will have a concrete decision and I will be able to start a countdown. I am positively beaming right now. Just this single gal studying in Lille, jetting up to Paris on the TGV for les fins de semaine. OR Just this single gal studying in Stockholm learning Swedish at a local cafe with Mr. Blonde hair/Blue eyes.
Oo lala qu'elle decision.
